You need a weird, idiotic confident energy for this role. And Jessica is perfect. His humor is just right for the dialogue. It’s a new take on sitcoms. There are no real punchlines, just engaging personalities with a touch of weirdness and family circumstances that are a little off the beaten path but still relatable. Of course, Jimmy’s therapist behavior is completely absurd. He would lose his license immediately. It’s just impossible. But in drama, we allow metaphorical situations. And in this script, we sense a strong sense of purpose in the decisions. We have to give the writers the benefit of the doubt and try to get the point across. It’s easy and fun for me. The other reviewers obviously had problems.
