Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book “Wool”; – the book has 82 chapters
Chronology
The men and women live in a giant underground silo with many regulations that they believe are in place to protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about.. The floor fans in various episodes turn the wrong way, in terms of the orientation of the blades.
Rotating this way does not push or pull air
Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Get Rid of (2023). The Wool Trilogy books are among the best books I’ve ever read. I was extremely hesitant to watch Silo because I had such a vivid internal vision of this post-apocalyptic world from the books and I didn’t want to spoil it.
That said, I’m halfway through season 1 and it’s nothing like the books in the best way!
What I mean is that the setting is there, the events and the basics of what the books did are great. However, most of the detailed story is completely new and embellished and fills in the gaps of things that were hinted at or glossed over in the books. What I’m glad about is that I still have a distinct version of the books in my head, and the show as a fun new version.
So much of it was just as I imagined
I have to say they did a PHENOMENAL job with the casting and the sets. But the differences set the book apart and I love that. This is probably the first time I’ve been happy that the show isn’t just like the books, but I still really like the show.
